Pork chop dinner was plentiful at Amos Mosquito's Restaurant in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. A treasure for visitors. As a California native I found this restaurant quite pleasing. It definitely exceeded my expectations. My street view perception was that this restaurant was an old diner bar type and to be worried. If it hadn't been for starvation I probably would not have pulled into this restaurant. Once in the doors I could smell savory food and the staff seemed well put together and tentative. Menu choices included something for everyone including seafood. Portions were grand and the price matched portions and the quality of food well. If you enjoy elbow room the space was plentiful. I give this restaurant five stars for appropriate greeting, seat time, order placement, food service and ambiance. Is this a white tablecloth restaurant, no. But it definitely could be. Enjoy the decor and fun wait staff names. Jethro is an awesome waiter!

We were there on a Wednesday evening "locals night" at about 5:30 pm. We were visiting the area and are glad we didn't get there any later. We had a short wait. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and welcoming, and the locals night pricing very good. Would definitely recommend.
